First time trying this place out, and sure glad we did. Was seated very quickly, took a little while to order, and get food, but was definitely worth the wait, my burrito was out of thos world good, and my wife said was best chili relleno she has had in a long time. Definitely will recommend this place, and be back for sure

Amazing Classic Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles, located near Hollywood, West Hollywood and all the other nearby sights. Very unassuming from the outside... Even the front door is a bit confusing - which one is it? Then you walk in and the place is packed and vibrant. Excellent hard and soft tacos. Mole Chicken enchiladas are ❤️????... Classic historic Mexican food in the heart of Hollywood. Huge menu. Super delicious. Everything you would expect Anna Mexican food menu & More. Super nice staff. Loud and perfect. Don't change a thing

El Compadre never disappoints! I find time to eat there every time I'm in Los Angeles. Everything is sooooo delicious.

Oh man. A friend told of us about this place and we’re so glad she did. Incredible food and super friendly service. A+ vibe and atmosphere too. Delicious beers. Sadly didn’t order a flaming margarita this time. Next time we’ll rectify. Clean bathrooms. Food was well worth the price and they were pretty fast.

The Food is Authentic. ????????love everything about this place from the delicious food to the amazing service. Highly suggest this Mexican Restaurant in WeHo. I have attached someone of the plates we ordered. …

We absolutely love this old school Mexican Restaurant. We have been coming here since I was young. I've since moved away but every time we visit California we stop in for the delicious shrimp cocktail and margaritas. It's a slice of old Hollywood. This whole vibe should not be missed.

The salsa and chips are so good. Excellent all around. Old school Mexican food where the plate comes hot and covered in delicious melty cheese. Parking lot in the back of the building, but you can enter from the front as well. Definitely get the guacamole, it's second to none... I mean that.

I'm a big Mexican food fan. El Compadre is what I think of when I think of good Mexican food. This was so fun. I'm all about authenticity. El Compadre is exactly what I look for when I think of a quality Mexican dining experience. We went to the Hollywood location and typically when I have driven by this one I never thought much of it. No windows, kind of standoff-ish, not the most inviting. But man why did I have these doubts. For dinner I got the El Grande, a classic combo but I discovered I'm not a chile relleno kind of guy - I wish there was another option. It's not the best combo menu compared to El Coyote or Casa Vega, but definitely servicable. The interior is what instantly sold me on El Compadre. The red booths are somehow infectious and homey, the servers singing in Spanish for birthdays is a joy, and the layout of the space is perfect for big parties and small. You just gotta run the classics, and this spot knows how. Good margs, chips and salsa, a great menu, immaculate energy. El Compadre really doesn't miss.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. I was not expecting the drinks and food to be that delicious! The food was authentic. I had the veggie enchiladas. The enchiladas were so tasty and the veggies inside were all so fresh. The margaritas were tasty and pretty lol (the fire on top). The service and ambiance were both great. Parking might be a challenge but I lucked up and found a spot in the back parking lot.
